Dog Walking
At Pawsitopia, dog walking isn’t just about burning energy. It’s about creating meaningful, enriching experiences that meet each dog’s individual needs. As a certified force-free dog trainer with many years of hands-on experience, I offer both group adventure walks and individual neighborhood walks that blend exercise, enrichment, and behavioral support.
Group adventure walks provide safe, structured socialization and confidence-building opportunities for dogs who enjoy exploring with friends. For dogs who benefit from a more personalized approach, individual walks are where my expertise truly shines. These sessions are thoughtfully tailored to each dog’s temperament, comfort level, and behavioral goals, ensuring they feel secure, understood, and engaged every step of the way.
Every walk is designed to engage your dog’s body and mind and build confidence.. My deep understanding of canine communication and behavior ensures that each outing is both safe and fulfilling, whether we’re working on leash skills, building confidence, or simply enjoying a calm stroll at your dog’s pace.
Solo Neighborhood Walks
$35 for a 30 minute neighborhood walk/$65 for 60 minute neighborhood walk
Solo walks are ideal for dogs who benefit from personalized attention and a calm, predictable environment. These walks are perfect for dogs who prefer one-on-one time over group settings, need extra support with reactivity or anxiety, or simply enjoy a quieter pace. With my professional training background, I create a walk experience that helps your dog feel secure, understood, and happy in their own neighborhood.
Because every dog is different, every solo walk is unique and crafted to meet your dog exactly where they are so they can truly thrive.
*Eligible candidates must weigh under 80 lbs.
Group adventure Walks
$55 for at least 1 hour Group Outing
*Initial consult/meet and greet is required and costs $50. If you sign up for adventures this will be applied to your first walk.
My group adventure walk option, with pick-ups, drop-offs and transportation, usually has your dog out of the house for 2-3 hours at a time, with a guarantee of a 1-hour minimum walk. I carefully curate small groups, and will never have more than 4 dogs per group, ensuring each dog received individual care and attention. I believe that although exercise is extremely important, mental stimulation is just as, if not more important, which is why we work on training while we’re hiking. During our adventures your dog will get a chance to socialize with canine cohorts, brush up on their basic manners and get out some much needed ya-yas! hiking. I offer the TOTAL package!
*Most of these walks will be off-leash. I walk rain or shine, unless there are extreme storms or extreme heat or extreme smoke. I reserve the right to cancel if the conditions are unsafe for driving and walking.
*All candidates for Group Adventure Walks must be 6 months and older, 75 lbs. or less, up-to-date on DHPP and Rabies vaccines, licensed and currently on flea and tick prevention.
*Pawsitopia serves Truckee for Solo Neighborhood Walks, Solo Decompression Walks and Dog Walking Adventures.
Decompression Walks/Hikes
$95 for a 60 minute decompression walk
Decompression hikes are for dogs who need a break from the hustle of everyday life. These private, hour-long adventures take place in quiet, low-traffic areas where your dog can truly relax. Away from the triggers of neighborhood walks, they’re free to explore at their own pace, take in the scenery, and just be a dog. Tailored for pups who are leash reactive or easily overstimulated, these hikes focus on reducing stress and offering enrichment in a calm setting.
*Holiday Fees apply to all services
