Pawsitopia offers dog walking Monday-Friday.
Whether your dog prefers a relaxing solo walk or a fun, fast paced group adventure walk, Pawsitopia is pleased to provide your dog with the necessary exercise and enrichment they need to thrive. You will have the benefit of leaving your pup in the capable hands of an experienced dog trainer committed to humane and ethical force free methods.
Solo Decompression Walks
$80 for a 1 hour Solo Hike/$40 for 1/2 hour Neighborhood Walk
What are Decompression Walks?
Simply put, decompression walks are solo walks in nature where dogs are allowed to relax, take in the sights and smells, move about freely and have their basic doggy needs met while on a safe and secure long line.
Decompression walks with Pawsitopia are private 60 minute hikes with an experienced dog handler and trainer in one of the gorgeous SW Portland parks. This service is for any dog that needs some alone time in nature to just be a dog, but is also ideal for dogs with leash reactivity or dogs who overstimulate easily in a neighborhood or a dog park.
*Eligible candidates must weigh under 70 lbs
Group adventure Walks
$50 for at least 1 hour Group Outing
*Initial consult/meet and greet is required and costs $50. If you sign up for adventures this money will be applied to your first walk.
*Eligible candidates must weigh under 55 lbs
My group adventure walk option, with pick-ups, drop-offs and transportation, usually has your dog out of the house for 2-3 hours at a time, with a guarantee of a 1-hour minimum walk. I am a certified force-free walker and trainer who carefully curates small groups. I believe that although exercise is extremely important, mental stimulation is just as, if not more important, which is why we work on training while we’re hiking. During our adventures your dog will get a chance to socialize with canine cohorts, brush up on their basic manners and get out some much needed ya-yas! hiking.We offer the TOTAL package!
*Most of these walks will be off-leash. I walk rain or shine, unless there are extreme storms or extreme heat or extreme smoke. I reserve the right to cancel if the conditions are unsafe for driving and walking.
*Pawsitopia serves Truckee for Solo Decompression Walks and Dog Walking Adventures.
*All candidates for Group Adventure Walks must be 6 months and older, 55 lbs. or less, up-to-date on DHPP and Rabies vaccines, spayed/neutered, licensed and currently on flea and tick prevention.
